In the Toddler room, children develop at different stages.

While some toddlers are working on speech development, others are ready to understand basic classroom concepts. However, ALL of them use sign language every day! This is a great way to enhance communication, lower frustration in younger children-particularly those whose vocabulary has not yet developed. Miss Ashley and Miss Maria sign with the children throughout the day, incorporating signs for food and drink with common phrases. Through repetition, song & dance, and dramatic play, the Toddlers begin to enhance their individuality. Many fun crafts are planned, and music is a big part of their day!

The classroom is bright and cheerful, and the children use all five senses to explore, climb, and create. To prepare these young minds for their introduction to academics there is a lot of focus on learning shapes, colors, and an awareness to letters and numbers as part of the Toddlers’ daily routine.
