Swim Days
Swim days will start soon! Please send your child to school IN their bathing suit and swim shoes. A towel, swim diapers (2) if applicable. and dry clothes to change your child into when they are done with water play need to be sent in a plastic bag. Please make sure EVERYTHING is labeled to help prevent lost items.
Swim shoes must be closed toed. Water shoes, jellies, and crocs always work well.
If your child does not come in with the above items they unfortunately will not be able to participate in water play for that day.
Notices will be sent home regarding swim dates and times per class.
Childcare Summer Camp
There is only a little more than one more month left until we kick off our Kool Kidz Summer Camp program! I hope you are as excited as we are! 🙂
Infants and Toddlers will follow our regular school calendar for the summer months. The toddlers aren’t eligible for off-site trips but we do have many activities planned for them to enjoy right at the center. They will be participating in water play days, school wide craft days, special parties, and certain special guests that are coming to the center.
Preschool and Pre-K will use the school calendar and their special summer camp calendar. The school calendar will list special days such as Backwards Day and Team Jersey Day. The Summer Camp calendar will list Trip Days and when special guests will be coming to us. We will also be having the Fun Bus coming to the center every Monday.
If your child is in our Preschool or Pre-K class PLEASE make sure you have handed in your Kool Kids Summer Camp Registration form and the $50.00 fee.
Thank you!
Change is GOOD!
Precious Butterflies has recently undergone some changes and we couldn’t be happier with the marvelous difference they are making, not only to each classroom but to the center as a whole! Miss Gabby is still with our Infants until the return of Miss Rebab. Miss Jen has taken over as lead Toddler teacher with Miss Maria as her assistant. Miss Lynze has taken on the responsibility of being the Preschool teacher and Assistant Director. Miss Ashley is our new Pre-K teacher and is proving to be a loving asset to the center. We have tried to make these transitions as smooth as possible for our students and they all seem to be happy and thriving with their teachers. If you have an questions or concerns always remember to see Miss Mercy or Miss Lynze so that they can be answered and addressed in the most timely fashion possible. Thank you!

If you would like to bring in something for your child’s birthday we will be more then happy to serve a special treat or help you serve it for afternoon snack. Just double check with your classroom teacher on how many children are in the class and always remember we are a PEANUT FREE SCHOOL! 🙂
Parents Night Out is Back!
Starting in March we will begin to have Parents Night Out again!!
Parents night out happens the first Friday of every month. It is a chance for parents to be able to enjoy some kid free adult time while knowing their children are in the capable hands of the Precious Butterflies staff members.
The price is $25 a child and $20 for any additional siblings. Leave your child at the center until 9:30p.m. where they will eat dinner (must be provided), play games, watch a movie, and spend the night with their friends. Please make sure you sign your child up on the clipboard next to the sign in sheets the week prior to Parents Night Out. Money must also be paid that Friday morning, NOT at pick-up Friday night.
We hope to see a nice turn out March 7th!!
Important Information!
Below are some general reminders:
- We are a PEANUT-FREE school. This is especially important to remember during holidays. NOTHING with peanut products can enter the building.
- When you bring your child to the doctors and they recieve a vaccine please bring a copy of the paperwork to school. This will assure that your child’s file is always up to date.
- If your contact information has changed please notify the director or your child’s teacher. Incase of an emergency or school closing we need to be able to reach you.
- Please make sure your child always has an adequate amount of supplies at school; diapers, wipes, spare clothes, etc.
Thank you for taking the time to read this! Remember, in order to provide the utmost care for your child we need a lot of teamwork! 🙂
February
This month has been a fantastic one so far. The toddler class has been learning about our planet Earth as well as the many different things we see up in the sky. Preschool has been working on various wiriting skills, reviewing colors, shapes, numbers, and letters, and discussing people that they love and care about. Our Kindergardeners have celebrated groundhog day, learned about the Winter Olympics, their teeth, and will explore the many wonderful stories of Dr. Seuss next week. For Valentine’s Day all of the children brought cards and special treats into school for their friends as a way to show how much they like and appreciate them. You can feel all of the love in the building this month!
Happy Holidays
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! A new year means new beginnings and new memories to be made. In 2014 this is exactly what we plan on doing!
This month in the Toddler and Preschool rooms we are going to be discussing different forms of Transportation from cars to hot air balloons. We will also be learning about Community Helpers such as police officers, fire fighters, and teachers. In the Kindergarden classroom we will be discussing and learning more about Winter, Penguins, Favorite Foods, and Groundhogs. On January 20th everyone will be celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. day with special projects and stories.
Let’s make this year one we won’t soon forget!
