Baby Carrots are a versatile snack that are a good “go to.”

*6 baby carrots=1/2C or 1 serving
*can last in sealed plastic bags up to 2 weeks in the fridge
*kids love to dip them!!

Creamy & Chunky Veggie Dip (makes 3, 1C servings)

2Tbsp salsa 2C cucumber sicks
4Tbsp fat-free Ranch dressing 2C carrot sticks or
baby carrots

Combine dressing and salsa. Stir until blended. Chill and serve!

Our first Parents’ Night Out was a great success!!! The children had a great time, and the smiles on moms and dads faces proved they did as well. Miss Alicia & Miss Miriam will host again the FIRST FRIDAY of each month. At several requests, the time will be extended to 9:30, and the cost will be $25. Next Parents’ Night Out will be Friday, May 3rd

On Monday, March 4th, Precious Butterflies welcomed a very special visitor…The Cat in the Hat!! All children in the school were treated to rhyme time, a Dr. Seuss trivia game, a chance to talk about and look through a variety of Dr. Seuss books, interactive games and more! There were puppets, music, dancing, clapping, magic tricks, and a visit from Thing 3 who made Thing 1 and Thing 2 seem “Tame oh so tame.”

The children loved hearing about how Dr. Seuss(Theodore Geisel) began as a young child, doodling and scribbling on paper with crayons. His wacky creations became the most popular children’s books known! Our visitor encouraged the children to read as much as they can, draw, color, create, and use their imagination. Even our infants enjoyed the music and colorful props spread about the room. We can’t wait for next year to see what antics the Cat brings to our school.

Precious Butterflies students will be starting free yoga classes in April. Yoga is a wonderful addition to the movement and muscle development the children already have. Practicing yoga not only is a calming agent for the mind, and a strong component of relaxation, but little ones can benefit from the use of muscle memory. The fluid movements will encourage the children to develop a better sense of balance, coordination, and flexibility. It is also a lot of fun!

Enjoy a night out, or time to get some errands done while the kids  play at school! From 6 to 9pm, your children can watch a movie, play  fun games, and have a good time! You must sign up with Miss Alicia by  Monday April 1st to ensure enough staff coverage is available. Payment must be cash, and is PER CHILD. Siblings are welcome!!!

We’re happy to announce we are awaiting the installation of our all new play structure for the playground. Coming in April (just in time for outdoor play!)

In honor of Theodore Geisel, aka “Dr. Seuss”‘s birthday, the children will have a week long celebration. This will include reading a number of the classic books, creative crafts and snacks, and special treats!

The week will kick off with a visitor from SEUSSOLOGY on Monday, March 4th.

The kids will love it!
